A BTC futures continuation strategy that waits for volatile selling to be rejected before joining a renewed upside move.
Strategy overview
Crypto Climber is a fully automated NinjaTrader 8 strategy for Bitcoin futures on the 60-minute timeframe. Its core setup is an upside reclaim. The system waits for a volatile downswing to lose control, looks for evidence that lower prices have been rejected, and requires directional strength to return before it permits a long entry.
It is not designed to chase every rising candle or automatically buy every pullback. The confirmation stack remains fixed inside the strategy, while the customer controls only quantity, the maximum holding period and the trailing-stop distance.
A reclaim, not a breakout chase
A Crypto Climber setup develops in stages. BTC first needs enough market activity for the move to be relevant. The current bar must then show rejection of lower prices, followed by a renewed push in the strategy’s long-side direction. If that sequence is incomplete, the system stays flat.
This gives the strategy a distinct role. It looks for continuation after sellers have been pushed back, rather than entering on a raw breakout or trying to catch a falling market.
Position management without a fixed target
Crypto Climber holds no more than one long position and never adds to an open trade. It uses no fixed profit target. Instead, a position remains active until the internal recovery condition weakens, the configured maximum holding period is reached, or the strategy-managed trailing stop is triggered.
The trailing level is recalculated after each completed bar. Once it moves higher, the strategy never lowers it again, keeping the exit logic consistent throughout the trade.
